Specifications of ChargePoint Home Flex Charger

Most newer constructions support up to 50-amps. The latest generation of the ChargePoint Home Flex charger allows you to realize the full potential of this with 50 AMP charging. This is the highest rate among other chargers such as Grizzl-E and Juicebox. Don’t forget to check the maximum supported charging current by your car because not all EVs support it now, and many of them can’t accept more than 32A. This is a great advantage because in the near future, this wall charger will remain relevant, and the next upgrade will only be necessary with an expensive upgrade of your home electrical service.

Installation

If your home already has the necessary wiring, the installation basically finishes with three drilled holes in the wall, plugging in the charger, and installing the smart app. If you connect it to a NEMA outlet, you can get a maximum of 40A charging. To get all the benefits of the ChargePoint Home Flex Charger, you must install it hardwired.

Smart features

The ChargePoint Smart App is available on all mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and supports Alexa and Siri voice control. From the app, you can schedule charging, set reminders, get updates on the charging progress, and track usage. This feature is especially useful for people who want to monitor their EV’s charging process from the comfort of their home. The application also provides a feature to find public charging spots near you. It has a great rating and is a perfect example for other brands.

  1. Charging Power and Speed: The ChargePoint Home Flex offers adjustable power levels, ranging from 16 amps to 50 amps, allowing for flexibility in charging speeds based on your vehicle’s requirements. The higher the amp rating, the faster the charging speed.
